STUCK ON YOU SKETCHES DESIGN TEAM REVEAL - THE BEACH - MAY 9th


Hi everyone  Happy Friday and welcome to the 
STUCK ON U SKETCHES DESIGN TEAM REVEAL.
 I have used this fab sketch from our lovely Leah, I hope you give it a go, there are great prizes to be won.

SIMPLE PLEASURES CHALLENGE

I love the beach it is first and foremost my happy place.
Also it the place for simple pleasures. Sun, sand, sea, shells, swimming - all simple but wonderful things. 
HERES HOW
Take a sheet of  pretty paper and distress all around the edges with some white paint and some golden yellow paint.
Add some stamping.
Double matt your photo and lightly adhere to the pretty paper.
Take a punch and punch top and bottom edges of a piece of cardstock cut to 9 x 7 inches.
Adhere to page.
Cut two more layers and adhere as per the sketch.
Add some hessian/burlap to top left and bottom right of the layout.
Add muslin beneath the photo.
Start to attach assorted flowers and embellishments, I used a hot glue gun.
Die cut the title and add some journaling, mine is in a journaling box I have hidden under the photo.

THE COLOR ROOMS
Hi everyone and welcome to my blog.
For todays layout inspiration I have used the sketch from C'est Magnifique and the colours from The Color Rooms with their added theme, use thread, so I machine stitched around the edges. Just click on the links above to be taken to the blogs.
HERES HOW
Choose all your papers, cardstock and embellishments.
Take your backing paper and a mask and add texture paste to the bottom few inches. Allow to dry.
Double matt photos in cardstock and distress the edges.
Adhere lightly to backing paper.
Start adding the layers as per the sketch.
I then added some foam pads to the back of the smaller photo.
Stitch around the outside edges with sewing machine.
Add the chipboard fence, I painted mine with white paint.
Start embellishing with flowers and embellies.
Add the title.

I loved this challenge as it incorporates all my favourite things, pink, lace, pearls, flowers, birds to name a few. Great inspiration for a pretty layout. I hope you give it a go. 
I am entering this into a challenge at Berry71Bleu
called Simple Pleasures.
 
 
Some of lifes little pleasures for Jess and I are to go to the local flea market wherever we may be and shop, take in the atmosphere, stop for coffee and enjoy the local vibe.
 
HOW TO
Choose all papers and embellishments
Matt photo onto pink cardstock 
Adhere a doily to background pretty paper
Add matted photo
Add a layer of muslin
Add a mini postcard layer
Add lace borders
Start adding flowers and embellishments
Add string pearls, butterflies, beaded pins, buttons, peal buttons, fuzzy fibres, mini branches and cut-out paper roses
Add title.

Morning scrappers, here is my latest layout using a sketch from Cest Magnifique. Its a beautiful sketch with fab prizes, so why not give it a go. HERES HOW
First choose papers and embellies.
Make a frame for your photo, this one is a chippy that I painted and crackled.
Add some lace and matt onto an oval frame.
Adhere some blue and coral cardstock onto a base card as per the sketch and add an oval doily.
Attach your matted photo.
Cut out some banners and attach as per sketch.
Adhere some top right hand corner embellies as per the sketch.
Add flowers and embellishments.
Attach the title.
Add journaling. Mine is usually hidden and says - A sprinkle of imagination, a sprinkle of friends, and a sprinkle of gems - that's what floats my boat!

STUCK ON U SKETCHES DESIGN TEAM REVEAL - Scissors Sisters - 25th April



Hi LOVELY Scrappers, welcome to my blog and the STUCK ON U SKETCHES DESIGN TEAM REVEAL.
Love this sketch by Nanne. hope you give it a go, see link below to enter to win yummy prizes.

For this photo,  Jessie is at Scissors Hair Salon Show. The theme was Alice in wonderland and Jessie had her hair done for the show, and danced in it too. I chose to go black and white with the photo as all the colours were a bit intense for my style! Jess was in blue, hence my colour palette.

Instructions.
Choose all your colours, papers, cardstock and embellies.
Matt photo in black cardstock and rip around the edges.
Start to follow all the layers as per the sketch, tearing and inking the edges as you go.
Add assorted flowers and embellishments. I used a hot glue gun.
Die cut the title.

HOW TO MAKE AN EASY TULLE FLOWER
Take a piece of tulle about an inch wide x about 8 inches long.
Take a needle and thread and make a running stitch along one length. Pull thread to gather into a flower. Attach a small circle of card or felt to the back. Add a small centre to the front.

Take a pretty paper and cut down to 11.5x11.5 inches
Distress the edges
Crop photos to 3x3.5 inches
Cut out a piece of cardstock 11.5 x 4.5inches
Use a doily punch and punch the two long sides
Matt onto a piece of cardstock the same size
Cut out a scalloped border piece of cardstock, ink the edges
Adhere to background paper
Cut out another piece of cardstock 11x6.5 inches
Doily punch the two long edges
Adhere this across the page
Take two pieces of black corrugated card and attach as per layout
Decorate with assorted embellishments
Ink corners with a script stamp and black ink
Die cut the title and attach.

HERES HOW
I have used black, yellow and white. I have used polka dots and stripes. I have used yellow flowers and the same title. I also used a small piece of chipboard to echo the light feature. 
I hope you like it and give it a go.

Matt photo in black cardstock.
Choose all your papers (5 layers) and rip and tear around the edges in various sizes.
Layer up as per my page and adhere to a 12x12 piece of white card.
Add your matted photo, use foam pads on two opposite corners from the corrugated card to stabilize.
Paint and glaze the chipboard piece.
Start to decorate with flowers, butterflies etc.
Use black ink and stamp in opposite corners.
Add the chipboard peice.
Don't forget to use a tag, this one is from Store 21.
Cut out and add the title.

STUCK ON U SKETCHES DESIGN TEAM REVEAL - ROCK CHALLENGE + my blog candy WINNER - FRIDAY 28TH MARCH

For this layout I saw a challenge over at INKIDO and thought this photo would be perfect. Its a picture of Jessie covered in assorted jewels and glitter so fits in perfectly with their theme which is to be inspired by precious stones and Jewels.
So for this layouts colour scheme I used pink, turquoise and a touch of green and a touch of gold. See the challenge here.
Here's how
Tear around a pretty paper, distress and ink the edges.
Take another pretty paper, tear down a little smaller, distress and ink the edges.
Adhere both to a background cardstock.
Matt photos with distressed edges.
Adhere as per the sketch.
Start to make and add the banners. Add gems.
Decorate with assorted flowers, butterflies etc.
Add the title.

SOUS DESIGN TEAM SKETCH REVEAL - BLOG HOP WINNER - BERRY71BLEU - TEXTILES - FEB 14

Take a mask and texture paste and add to right side of plain cardstock
Cut a scalloped border using a scallop edge border and cardstock -  5 x 12 inches
Adhere to backing card
Cut and matt photos to 4 x 4 inches, adhere
Attach white lace around the edges
Print out the title words and cut into banners
Attach with two green banners
Add butterfly
Decorate with flowers, fibres, jewels and a branch die cut.

CHERISH THIS DESIGN TEAM SKETCH REVEAL - and PRIMA GIVEAWAY

This is a picture of Jess and I on holiday last summer in Barbados. It was soooo hot that our hair went frizzy, this was at the pool after the sun went down as we try to cool off with the local drink, Rum Punch!
HERE IS HOW I DID THIS
Take a sheet of pretty paper, a mask and texture paste. (I used a doily mask and some homemade texture paste).
When dry, spritz with mists in blue and pink.
Double matt your photo and distress the edges.
Adhere to background with foam pads.
Cover photo and flick paint in the top left and bottom right corners.
Start to decorate with assorted flowers.
Die cut the title and adhere.
Add a paper clip.
I hope you like it and give it a go.

C'EST MAGNIFIQUE GUEST DESIGNER FOR MARCH - THE REEF AND THE PILGRIM - AND BLOG CANDY GIVEAWAY


Hi everyone and WELCOME TO MY BLOG AND MY LAST TWO LAYOUTS AS MARCH GUEST DESIGNER FOR C'EST MAGNIFIQUE.
I have made  these using the C'EST MAGNIFIQUE  March Kit.
 
 

This kit is amazing, do click on the March Kit link for more fabulous layouts from the amazing design team.
For this layout I used all the blues and golds in the kit. I used gold paint on my shells too. I actually gathered all these shells from the lagoon in the picture! This photo is of Jess and I last summer whilst on holiday in Barbados.

 For this layout I have used a photo of my DH on the steps where the actual Mayflower sailed from!
I chose a brick mask to echo the bricks in the steps. I chose blue from the sea and the background buildings. And the green from the bricks in the wall.
I used all three March kits. The main kit, the flower add-on kit and the embellishment add-on kit.

C'EST MAGNIFIQUE GUEST DESIGNER AND SKETCH CHALLENGE FOR MARCH 1st + BLOG CANDYGIVEAWAY



Yay, I am so excited and privileged to be able to share my latest layout as Guest Designer for C'est Magnifique for March using the March Sketch Challenge and the March Kit.

Step 1
Take a sheet of pretty paper, distress and ink the edges.
Adhere onto plain backing card.


Step 2
Double matt your photos, distress and ink the edges.

Step 3
Cut out two banners, ink the edges, adhere.


Step 4
Sorry I ran out of light so there are only 4 pictures.
Add more banners in the top left corner.
Add more strip layers underneath the banners.
Add two more strips above the banners.
Paint, glitter and ink both the chippies.
Cut out doilies from the pretty doily sheet.
Ink the edges and add to layout as shown.
Cut out the lace pearl flower and attach.
Make a few flowers from one of the pretty papers.
Start decorating with the hand cut doilies and more flowers.
Add the title using the large sticker alphas.
Add the date with the small sticker alphas.
Add pearls.
