SASSY

Morning all, on this chilly monday morning. Where did Summer go?

Here is  my take on a sketch Ive done from Scrap That.
And here is how I did it.
I turned my photo into black and white as it was shouting with too many colours
I then chose my cardstock, papers and colours;  purple and yellow.
I matted my photo in the same cardstock as the backing card.
I then cut out two papers using a card template then matted one on top of the other.
I adhered two doilys and added my matted photo.
I cut out some border peices using my scalloped scissors.
I then started to decorate using flowers, pearls and butterflies.
I added a vellum title and one of my hand made stick pins.
A quick and easy page, why not give it a go?

CHARLIE

Morning scrappers. Summer has arrived!!
Here is a summery layout using green, corals and golden yellows.
I used a sketch for this one from Cest Magnifique (July), which I reversed.
I entered this into a challenge at the Flying Unicorn for the Out with the Old, using old stash.
So first of all I cut out a circle from a very old nursery rhyme paper I have had  hanging around.
I inked the edges and adhered this to the background, another oldie.
I then matted my photo in cardstock and inked the edges.
I cut out some borders from both old and new papers and matted them onto cardstock.
Then inked the edges.
I adhered all these according to the sketch, then added half a doily.
I die cut a branch from a sizzlitts die, I hand cut a butterfly and added lots of flowers, old and new.
I handmade some swirls with some perfect pearls paint and glittered the butterfly.  I added a prima stickpin, but I think my hand made ones are better!!  This one happened to match.
See below for the sketch. Have a great day - BFN

FAITH

Morning scrappers, hope its as sunny with you as it is here.

Today this layout is for a challenge on the Flying Unicorn site called Have a Little Faith.
For this one, i chose the colours from the photo, and started with matting my photo first.
I then cut out a circle using the same bazzill cardstock, drawing around a plate.
I cut  this out using sguiggly scissors.
I then cut off the edges to some doilys and glued them to the back of the circle.
I adhered these to my background paper.
I then cut out a few layers, which I inked up and stuck these down.
I added a typed out border using my computor which says,
SOME THINGS NEED TO BE BELIEVED TO BE SEEN.
Then I  machine stitched around the edges and started to decorate. I made the large flower using fabric and netting. I added a pearl centre and a Prima stickpin. I added more flowers and pearls and a few butterflies. I beaded the body of the large butterfly. I added a die cut heart and some mini pearl hearts, added the title and some journaling. Hope you like it and that you give this one a go as it is quite an easy layout. BFN

PARTY TIME

Morning all lovely scrappers. Here is a layout I have done for another challenge at the Flying Unicorn.
This was for the Ink to Impress Challenge.
No sketch for this one.
So this is what I did.
I chose my papers from the colours in the photo. (4 different ones). ( And some bazzill).
I matted my photos in aqua colours 3 times and distressed and inked the edges.
I cut out the background shape using a template and distressed and inked the edges.
I adhered this to the background cardstock.
I added my photos.
I then made the hanging sign and bird using chipboard and inked and embossed them.
I did the same with the little border peice with the pearls on.
I masked the clock using home made gesso and a Prima mask and added the clock hands.
I added other peices of distressed and inked papers, and peices of doily.
I cut out three butterflies and inked and glittered these.
I made little pearly bodies using eye pins and glass pearls.
I added some aqua flowers and a few pearls.
This all took a good 2 hours as I handmade quite a few things.
Hope you like it. BFN

SHINING STAR

Hi everyone, here is a layout I have done for a challenge over at the Flying Unicorn. This one was for Christmas in July using white, gold and snowflakes. For this one the paper is from Pion and is called Waiting for santa. It is covered in lovely white stars. So I matted my photo in white and added a white doily to my background paper. I added the photo and found a vellum title that seemed perfect and I matted that onto white Bazzill. I then made the concertina flower and added that. I found some lovely gold lace for a border and started to punch out all my snowflakes in white. Some are punched and some are diecut using a sizzlitts die. I added some small white roses. Hope you like it.

PRECIOUS

Morning scrappers. Hope you are haveing a great Saturday. Here is a layout Ive done using a sketch from the Flying Unicorn for my inspiration. For this one I chose coral and green from the photo. I matted my photo and lay this on a green border, & adhered this to the patterned paper background. I added a music- note border beneath the photos and a coral border underneath that. Now my basic layout had come together, I gathered up my bits and peices to finish. I cut out two retro hearts, and die cut some branches. I made a concertina flower and used some of the stick pins I made earlier. I die cut a chipboard bird and found some Prima butterflies in my butterfly box. I used a journaling box from Prima and cut this in half and matted it in coral. I then gathered together all my little flowers and a white fabric leaf border, and started to decorate. I used a vellum title I had in my stash. Hope you like it. You can find the sketch below.

Here is a layout I have done for a challenge over at the Flying Unicorn called Movie Nite.
For this one I kept it quite simple, (I didnt use a sketch this time),  this is a quick and easy page for you.
I matted my photo in white. I chose my cardstock and my doily and stuck these both down.
I then made a rosette flower and die- cut the heart with wings.
I punched out some dragonflies and then made some beaded bodies for them. I used an eye pin and some glass pearls for this.
I gathered up some extra flowers which I made into a posy and added some chiffon ribbon.
I found some white lace and a pearl string.
Then I started to decorate with all my peices. I added some butterflies and pearls and there you have it. Why not give it a try. BFN

SWEETIE PIE

Morning all, here is a layout ive done using a sketch from Stuck On You Sketches for inspiration.
Ive done a lot of stitching on here for a challenge over at the Flying Unicorn.
So, I have used green and purple for this one and matted my photo twice, then started to cut out all the peices of the layers and included a doily. I then lay everything down, glued everything and then started to stitch using my machine. Ive done some straight and some zigzag stitches. I then added my photo mat and  added a velum title that I pre stitched around, then glued in place. I then added the decorations. I die cut some green branches, added some tiny roses and some large ones. I added a couple of Prima butterflies, and one of my hand made stick/hat pins.

US

Morning all, and Happy Monday, here is a layout I have done using a sketch from Once Upon A Sketch for my inspiration. I have also entered this into a challenge over at the Flying Unicorn.
So, after I had chosen my papers and colours, I started to layer up as per the sketch. I matted my photo and distressed some of my layers and started to stick these down. I added the doily, then the photo, then I used a martha stewart punch to punch out some borders. I added the borders then started to decorate. I die cut a chipboard birdhouse and bird and painted these white then added some glimmer glam paint. I inked the edges and used a stick pin (from a swap I did) for the hanging part. I then die cut a couple of large leaves and inked these up. I handmade 3 different types of flowers, and added these, I made the flower centres and added them, and die cut some butterflys. I added the Prima telegram from my Prima Freebie page, then added some small flowers as well. And there you have it. The papers are from Bo Bunny, Prima and Little Sprout. Hope you like it and why not give it a go. This took a little longer than usual because I handmade quite a bit, but 3 hours should do it. Great for a rainy afternoon!

PRINCESS

Hi everyone, happy wet week-end! On the plus side it is perfect scrapping weather.
Here is a layout I have just finished, using a sketch from Scrap That for my inspiration.
I have used Websters pages papers and some Bazzil cardstock.
I love this sketch and if you want a quick page, this took exactly 2 hours.
So, I used Bazzill Bling for the back cardstock. I then cut an inch off both sides of the bright pink and distressed the edges.
I cut 2 inches off my websters pretty paper and distressed the edges then adhered these down.
I then matted my photo and distressed the edges. I distressed the edges of the main border layers and stuck these down under the photo. I added 2 scalloped and inked borders down the centre. I then added the vellum title. Then i made 2 concertina flowers using my Tim Holtz die and added pearl centres. I added lots of small carnations and rose buds. I used some cut out flower branches from the websters papers and added some pink lace. I punched out 3 dragonflies (sizzlitts) and made 3 pearl stick pins for their bodies. I added extra heart pearls and lines of pearls around the page.  Oh and I switched the sketch on its side.
Hope you like it.

JESS

Morning all, its another scrapping day as it is still raining outside!
For this layout I used a sketch from Scrap That for my inspiration.
So, I chose my papers, matted my photo and this is what I did.
I first ripped all around my patterned paper and ripped out some small inserts.
I adhered this to my pink background card. I added small dotty peices of paper (the reverse side of the patterned paper) and just stuck these little peices in behind the ripped out bits.
I then adhered a doily and my photo. I painted a peice of dusty attic chippy in white for the left corner and made a few flowers using my tim holtz tattered florals die. I then ripped up some small border papers and adhered these. I made two scalloped borders with my scalloped ruler, you can just see these at the base of the photo. I made a rosette flower using anothe Tim Holtz die. I then glued down all my flowers, added some centres to them and added two pearl borders and a peice of lace. The white leaves are from Prima.
I added a couple of butterflies, one Prima and one handcut and one of my handmade stick pins. I added the title and some journaling.
Thats it, hope you like it. I loved this sketch as it came together quickly and easily. Why not give it a go. BFN and have a great scrappy day.
