FOLLOW YOUR BLISS


Hi lovely scrappers, here is a layout I have made using the Blue Fern Studios May sketch for my inspiration.

This is a fabulous sketch and so are these Blue Fern papers.

For the thread element I have used fuzzy fibres in white.

 
HERES HOW
Double matt photo and ink the edges.
Lightly adhere to page.
Cut a 3cm strip from a 12x12 sheet and ink the edges.
Attach as per the sketch.
Start adding layers as per the sketch.
Decorate with assorted flowers, butterflies etc
Using a small lid and some white paint, dab in the corners.
Add some inked stitching around the layout.
Cut out title, ink the edges and adhere.

STUCK ON U SKETCHES DESIGN TEAM REVEAL - FRIDAY 23rd May - WINTER BALL



HI lovely scrappers, happy Friday  and Welcome to the
STUCK ON U SKETCHES DESIGN TEAM REVEAL.
We have a fabulous sketch here, so I hope you give it a go, there are great prizes to win.

For details on how to put this layout together and for a list of scrappy stash just scroll down. There are also links for the clocks and how to make flowers, as I do use a lot of flowers and you can save so much by making them yourself. Have fun.
HERES HOW
Take photo, triple matt and ink the edges.
Cut down black cardstock as per the sketch and double matt, ink the edges.
Adhere to pretty background cardstock.
Cut out a half circle detail from pretty paper. Matt onto black cardstock and add a doily underneath. Adhere.
Add border to left side as per the sketch. Ink edges.
Die cut two swirls and attach.
Die cut a tag, ink the edges and adhere.
Cut out a journaling block, matt onto black cardstock, adhere.
Start to embellish. I used some clock faces, lots of flowers, fuzzy fibres, mini key, arrow and some punched out leaves.
Finally I stamped around the page with some stamps and black ink and added the title. I hope you like it.

CARD CHALLENGE AND FREEBIE - 16th May

 
Hi everyone, I thought I would make some cards to show you.
Whilst looking for some inspiration, I saw this brilliant mood board over at The Shabby Tea Room and loved it so much I used it for my inspiration for this card.
The theme is called Tea Party, and I get to use some of my favourite things - lace, pearls, flowers and pink.

STUCK ON YOU SKETCHES DESIGN TEAM REVEAL - THE BEACH - MAY 9th


Hi everyone  Happy Friday and welcome to the 
STUCK ON U SKETCHES DESIGN TEAM REVEAL.
 I have used this fab sketch from our lovely Leah, I hope you give it a go, there are great prizes to be won.

SIMPLE PLEASURES CHALLENGE

I love the beach it is first and foremost my happy place.
Also it the place for simple pleasures. Sun, sand, sea, shells, swimming - all simple but wonderful things. 
HERES HOW
Take a sheet of  pretty paper and distress all around the edges with some white paint and some golden yellow paint.
Add some stamping.
Double matt your photo and lightly adhere to the pretty paper.
Take a punch and punch top and bottom edges of a piece of cardstock cut to 9 x 7 inches.
Adhere to page.
Cut two more layers and adhere as per the sketch.
Add some hessian/burlap to top left and bottom right of the layout.
Add muslin beneath the photo.
Start to attach assorted flowers and embellishments, I used a hot glue gun.
Die cut the title and add some journaling, mine is in a journaling box I have hidden under the photo.

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog.
For todays layout inspiration I have used the sketch from C'est Magnifique and the colours from The Color Rooms with their added theme, use thread, so I machine stitched around the edges. Just click on the links above to be taken to the blogs.
HERES HOW
Choose all your papers, cardstock and embellishments.
Take your backing paper and a mask and add texture paste to the bottom few inches. Allow to dry.
Double matt photos in cardstock and distress the edges.
Adhere lightly to backing paper.
Start adding the layers as per the sketch.
I then added some foam pads to the back of the smaller photo.
Stitch around the outside edges with sewing machine.
Add the chipboard fence, I painted mine with white paint.
Start embellishing with flowers and embellies.
Add the title.

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog and the CHERISH THIS
 MEMORIES FOR LIFE DESIGN TEAM REVEAL
 
I loved this challenge as it incorporates all my favourite things, pink, lace, pearls, flowers, birds to name a few. Great inspiration for a pretty layout. I hope you give it a go. 
I am entering this into a challenge at Berry71Bleu
called Simple Pleasures.
 
 
Some of lifes little pleasures for Jess and I are to go to the local flea market wherever we may be and shop, take in the atmosphere, stop for coffee and enjoy the local vibe.
 
HOW TO
Choose all papers and embellishments
Matt photo onto pink cardstock 
Adhere a doily to background pretty paper
Add matted photo
Add a layer of muslin
Add a mini postcard layer
Add lace borders
Start adding flowers and embellishments
Add string pearls, butterflies, beaded pins, buttons, peal buttons, fuzzy fibres, mini branches and cut-out paper roses
Add title.
