LA ROCQUES

Hi guys, here is the other side of my double page layouts using the swirly hues colours and sketch. I love these colours. So, I pretty much put this page together as the last one. Did lots of distressing and added lots of flowers. I used 3 different background papers, but gutted the middles so that I didnt waste any card.(Cut the centres out),  then I cut 3 circles in various sizes from the gutted peices. Waste not want not. I cut some scalloped borders out, added the butterflies and flowers, scrolls and some pearls. I cut out some Prima packaging in acrylic that looked like white lace and put that in the top right hand corner. I die cut the title and added the date. There is some hidden journaling under the orange pull out peice of card to the side of the photo. Hope you like it.

these are the colours and the sketch from Swirly Dos.

ITSY BITSY

Hi guys, here is a layout I have made for Swirlydos, Swirly Hues challenge - which is using a colour scheme and sketch. Great if you need some inspiration. See below. Anyway, I love these colours together and knew just the photo to use. First of all I chose aqua cardstock for the photo. I  mattted the photo and distressed the cardstock for the photo. I then cut out a circle with the rest of the aqua cardstock, which I distressed. I found some polka dot papers in the colour scheme and cut a couple of circles out of them and distressed them also.  I double matted the circles on top of the peachy pink background paper and adhered this to some aqua background card all of which I distressed,  and then adhered this onto some pale aqua card. I stuck my matted photo down and then started to decorate. I added some borders and the pom poms, die cuts some branches which I thought looked a little bit like seaweed, added some die cut swirls, some flowers and butterflies. I added some pearls and then printed out my title onto some white cardstock. I then added the date and that was it. Hope you like it.

FOREVER

Hi - here is another layout using the My Creative Sketches sketch. I always prefer to make double page spreads for my albums. For this one I chose a pale duck egg blue for the background paper as the walls in the photos are pale duck egg blue. I wanted to pull out the pink in the photos and from the paper,  rather than the green, as I used green on the other layout. I hand cut a pale pink circle and adhered this to the right of the page. I adhered a pale duck egg blue circle on top.  I then added the doily to the left of the page, and matted my photos in the bright pink. I distressed the photos and the mats. I then added some bright pink chiffon roses ribbon to the circles and as a border. I die cut the title FOREVER and decorated with flowers and a pink butterfly, all Prima. I added a die cut corner, (Tim Holtz), added some pearls and a few gems and thats it.

ITS YOUR DAY

Hi guys, here is the other side to my double page layout. Ive used the same sketch from Once Upon a Sketch. I love the colours here. Ive picked out the bright pink of the clothing and the blue of the jeans. Ive used doilys again, and added lots of little details. Ive put hidden journaling on some of the circles behind the photos. I punched out the butterflies, added some flowers and pearls, and some bits n bobs from my stash. Hope you like it.

FRIENDS

Hi guys, here is a layout Ive put together for the sketch challenge over at my creative sketches. Ive chosen green as it compliments the outfits perfectly. I love the Prima background paper as it also compliments my friends top so well. Ive distressed the photos a little by rubbing a sander over the edges, then I distressed the green mats as well. I added two doilys, arranged the photos, then added a border. I die cut the bird and birdcage (Tim Holtz) and used paint dabbers and glimmer mist on them. I added a small chain from my stash. I then add a couple of die cut flourishes (sizzix) and a corner diecut. I then decorated with Prima flowers and some pearls. Hope you like it.

WAY TO GO

Hi guys, here is another page using a sketch for my inspiration. I have used the colours from my photo to dictate the papers and card Ive used.
I started with the navy and matted the photo. Then I used the rest of the navy for the backing card. I then distressed the peach cardstock and added that. I then added a large doily. Then I cut out three circles, one in soft brown, one in patterned peach and a navy one. I adhered these, then adhered my photo. I die cut the clock using a Tim Holtz die, and die cut some branches (Tim Holtz), added some Prima flowers and then added a die cut title and some hidden journaling.
This is the sketch I used from Once Upon A Sketch. Hope you like it.

DELICIOUS

Hi guys, this is the other page to a double page spread I had done already. This one is so easy. First I matted my photo onto pink cardstock . Then I chose my background paper. This one is by Prima. Then I added a pretty doily and then the photo. I then added the two borders. Also Prima. Then I stamped out the chandelier and added some gems. I added some flowers and  gems and a couple of swirly die cuts. I had a few cameos I think they are Prima too,  and this one in pink tied in really nicely. A very quick and unfussy page, so I hope you like it.

DIVA - Its a dogs life!

Hi guys, here is a photo from last October at the beach. For this layout I have used a sketch from ONCE UPON A SKETCH. (see below). Ive used blue again!!! I wanted to capture the colours from the sea and the sky. I took a sheet of steely blue background metalic cardstock then added a blue dotty paper that I distressed. I added a doily, a peice of distressed paper from Glitz and added the matted photo. I then cut two circles with my scalloped edge scissors, one in blue and one in brown and added the sub title. I used the remnant of this for the second circle and added some brown cardstock behind. I then added the main title. For this I used a Tim Holtz hanging frame in chipboard. I distressed it to hopefully look a little aged by first painting it with white acrylic paint. I then added a layer of pva then another coat of paint. When this had dried I tapped an ink pad in brown over the top and inked the edges. I added a couple of peices of leather cord for the chains. I then die cut the word and glued down. Then I added some flowers and some gems. Have a go.

YEAR 10

Hi guys, Ive just finished this layout using blue! I hardly ever use blue, but with Jessie in a blue school uniform I think it was a must. Ive not used a sketch here as I just wanted to do lots of layering and distressing. Ive used my new distressing tool a Zutter distress- it and it creates wonderful edges which I couldnt wait to play with. So here's what I did. First of all I chose all the papers, these happen to be the only blue I had in my stash which are from Basic Grey - Granola. I then distressed all the edges with my new toy. Great fun if a little messy. Then I matted my photo onto some blue cardstock and chose some doilys! I continued to mat and layer all the papers until I liked the result and glued them into position. I found some typed paper that I liked the colour of to add in the corners and I inked the edges. I added some flowers and branches, the title and some bling. This layout didnt take long at all, it all came together very quickly I think because all the papers matched and I didnt have to hunt out matching ones. I then planted the whole thing onto a peice of browny paper that toned in. Why not give it a go?

OUR HOUSE

Hi everyone, here is a layout I have just finished using a sketchabilities sketch no.64.
I loved using this sketch as its just right for my style. I used all my most favourite things. Pink and green and doilies and flowers and butterflies and pearls.
I chose some brown cardstock from my stash, which picked out the brown of the roof, then chose the green that matched the lawn. This then needed a pop of colour so I chose pink as it goes great with green.
I then placed on the doilys.
Next I matted the photos onto pink cardstock, then onto some green paper that  I cut out using a template.
I added a border in green that I cut with some scalloped scissors.
I then cut a larger border using a scalloped template.
I then added a few peices of torn Prima pink paper .
Now that the basis was done I started to decorate. I added the flowers with pink brads then hand cut the bunting. I just doubled over some fabric and hand cut some triangles. I then took some coloured twine and stapled the bunting peices on top. I then coloured them in with inks in pink, green and brown. I attached the bunting with pink velvet brads.  I then punched out some butterflies, added the pearls. I added a title and some journaling. All done. Why not give it a go. See sketch below. Happy scrapping.

GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN

Hi guys, this is the other page to my double layout. I wanted this one to be a bit more girly, hence the pink and Ive distressed a few of the edges, but Im not sure that it comes out in the picture. Ive used the same sketch and added a few daisys around the photo to compliment the background paper (which is Prima) and to pick up all the daisys Ive added onto the page. I punched out some butterflies, added some pearls and the title. Hope you like it.
