Hi everyone, thank goodness its Friday and its half term, yippee! No school runs for a fortnight! So, here is my latest layout. I used a sketch from the Flying Unicorn for my inspiration. You can find them over on the right. For this layout I chose the colours from the dress and followed the sketch. I used a scallop punch to punch around the lemon cardstock and adhered this to some brown card. I then used a martha stewart punch for the doily edging. I used a doily punch for the aqua doily and matted this onto the page. I layered up with some Websters cardstock and added flowers, pearls and a title from websters stickers for a perfect match. Please note there is not a hint of pink anywhere!! Hope you like it. See sketch below.

Good morning everyone, here is my take on a Creative Scrapbook Sketch. See below. First of all I chose the background cardstock which I think is Glitz and its just layers of lace, very pretty. Then I matted the photo in pink cardstock! Then I layered up as per the sketch. I chose some basic grey mottled yellow and black and the bazzill pink. I added two lacey doilys which I backed in pink, added the yellow on top of the doilys then cut out two lacey acrylic half circles from some Prima packaging that the Prima butterflies came in. I handmade the ribbon lace flower and stitiched the button on top. I added flowers, butterflies and pearly gems. I added some glitter and a glittery die cut bird and birdcage. I die cut the title Glitter Girl as this was Jess in a show and she was smothered in glitter!
I entered this into a challenge using a black and white photo over at the Flying Unicorn. See link.
Most of the flowers came from Wild Orchid Crafts. As did the pearly gems.

Then I chose brown mottled effect backing paper and cream mottled effect and adhered them. Then I cut out a shape using a template, then I hand cut around it. Then I made another shape for the two photos. I handcut the banner and glued it down, and I diecut the large heart and hand cut the smaller hearts. I die cut the title, added some flowers and pearls and finished off withsome mini die cut branches. I wanted to include a clock face to represent the passing of time. I added pearls and flowers.

Good morning all, here is a layout ive done for STUCK ON YOU SKETCHES for the March challenge. I used pink and green and chose some flowery cardstock from My Minds Eye. I then matted some green cardstock with black and adhered this to the page. I then added two doily circles and backed them with the reverse of the flowery cardstock. I used my black plastic trellis that I found in 99p land! It was gutter guard and I have a huge roll of it for 99p! I then added the matted photos, added the die cut title and date. I handmade the dark pink flower from skeleton leaves and added a pearl brad for the centre. I added butterflies and flowes and pearls. Great sketch this one see below.

Hi everyone, here is a layout Ive done using some Prima paper. I thought it matched the shirt in this layout perfectly. So here is how I did it. first I chose the papers then I matted the phot on some paper that matched in with the rocks quite well. I placaed this then added the doily. I cut out two half circles and added them on top of the doily. I cut two plain peices of card for a journaling box and placae underneath the photo. I then docorated with flowers, pearls and hand made butterflies. I cant remember where I got the large butterfly, it's been in my stash for ages. I then added the title using stickers. Hi everyone, here is my layout using the sketch from Once Upon A Sketch. For this one, I chose blue cardstock for the background and oranges for the layers which I picked out from the actual rocks. I matted the photo onto brown cardstock and distressed the edges. I matted it again and distressed again. I then scallop cut half a circle using a template and scallop cut a border using a scallop ruler. I then cut out another border from some Basic Grey cardstock and layered up. The flowers are from Prima, the butterflies I made from Prima flowers and I hand made the pearly swirls. To do this I copied a swirl onto computor paper, then lay some acetate on top of your swirl then using perfect pearls just make little pearly dots along the lines. Leave to dry. See sketch below. Bye For Now. Carole

Hi everyone, here is my take on the SCRAP365 magazine Sketch Challenge. Hope you like it. For this one its back to the pink and doilys for me! I loved this sketch and found it really easy. First I chose the colours to go with the picture, then I matted the photo and distressed the edges. I then layered up and distressed as I went, in accordance with the sketch. I die cut the hanging bar (Tim Holtz die) and painted it with paint dabbers and attached with brads. I hand made the butterflies by using flowers and turning down one petal and attaching some wire and some pearls. Then I added glitter. I thought they worked out to be quite pretty. The larger butterfly is from Prima. I added the flowers and pearls and the sticker title.Thats all from me for now, have a great week end.

Good morning, I cant believe its Friday again! So, here is a layout ive done using the creative scrappers sketch no. 198 - see below.
I took the colours from the sea in the photo and the brick wall behind us. I think it works quite well. This layout was really easy to use. First of all I chose all my papers, then matted the photo in the brown cardstock as that looked the best. Then I just layered up by following the sketch. I decorated my page by adding lots of flowers, a couple of butterflies (Prima) some pearls and some handmade pearly swirls. I used perfect pearls for this. I added the frame with the title on it using a Tim Holtz die, and the netting is saved from a packet of mini cheeses!!! You look at everything in a different light when you are a scrapper! Have fun with this one.

Hi guys, here is the other layout using the same sketch. I picked out the papers to match the colours in the photos, and chose this pretty Prima paper from Annalee collection. I matted all the photos first, then started adding the layers that make up the page, first with the aqua then some more prima paper and some doilies. I then added the photos and decorated. I added the flowers, a diecut birdcage that I painted with a pink dabber undercoat then with gold acrylic paint. The diecut bird I painted with pink and brown dabbers and added some pink stickles. I diecut the dragonflies and added pearls, I added a prima pearl swirl and added a prima journaling box. I also added some gauze fabric to the top corner . Then I die cut the title. Hope you like it.

Here is a layout using the SKETCHABILITIES SKETCH no. 66. I loved this sketch as I really like to get more than one photo onto a page, otherwise all my albums are too huge and too heavy to pick up! Ive used peach and aqua here which Ive taken from the main photo. I matted the photos in aqua card and chose a pretty peach background card. I then found a matching peachy paper from Prima and a soft aqua one with stripes, cant remember where that is from. I distressed the stripy aqua around the edges and matted it onto the peach card. I added a large doily, (of course), just love those doilys, and cut a circle from some white Prima cardstock that had some soft background writing on it. I inked the edges and stuck these down. I hand cut a scalloped border using a scallop ruler in thepeachy paper and inked the edges. I hand cut a retro heart and inked the edges and placed just behind the birdcage. I also hand cut a half circle in the peachy paper to go behind the doily in the right hand corner. Then I added the photos. Then the best bit, the decorating. I added a dusty attic chippie (the birdcage) after painting it and adding Glossy Accents glaze. Then I added a Tim Holtz bird diecut that I painted and glazed. I stamped and cut out a little Prima birdcage, die cut some dragonflies then I added aqua pearls onto their bodies. I added the Prima flowers and pearls. For the title I used a chippy for the word HAPPY that I crackled with Tim Holtz picket fence crackle paint and then glazed. I die cut the word DAYS and inked and glazed it. I added some fabric gauze in the top left corner to soften , and then added my secret journaling box. It didnt take as long as it sounds! Happy Friday.
