STUCK ON U SKETCHES DESIGN TEAM REVEAL - 5 STEPS TO THE PERFECT LAYOUT

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog and the
STUCK ON U SKETCHES DESIGN TEAM REVEAL.
Todays sketch is by the lovely Nanne. I love this sketch, simple yet stunning. Do give it a go. I have instructions on how to put this layout together for you.

FIVE STEPS TO THE PERFECT LAYOUT
Step 1 - The Focal Point
Choose photo/photos, matt them in co-ordinating cardstock so that they stand out on your page.
I chose my daughters jacket and the garden greenery in this page.
Step 2 - The Background
Choose the background cardstock or pretty paper to co-ordinate with matted photo, choose all matching embellishments etc.
Step 3 - The Border
Always try to use a border to bring the page together.
In this case it is the picket fence.
Step 4 - The Embellishments
The best part, time to decorate with flowers, butterflies, leaves etc.
Step 5 - The Title and Journaling
By putting a title on the layout, you give meaning to the page.
The Journaling, on the page or hidden, lets everyone know what is going on and gives you the chance to add your thoughts/ memories.
My journaling is slightly hidden on the tag.

HERES HOW
STEP 1 THE FOCAL POINT
Matt photo onto cardstock. Cut out an 8inch circle in pretty paper, matt onto the same colour cardstock. Ink stitches stamp all around the edge of the circle.
STEP 2 THE BACKGROUND
Attach these to the background paper.
Cut out five one inch strips, ink the edges in the same ink and adhere as per the sketch.
STEP 3 THE BORDER
Die cut a picket fence, adhere.
STEP 4 THE EMBELLISHMENTS
Stamp and die cut some flowers, add pearl centres, attach with a glue gun.  Die cut some branches/leafs, ink the edges, attach. Add some mini roses.
STEP 5 THE TITLE AND JOURNALING
Write journaling on a tag, ink the edges, adhere.
Die cut the title, ink the edges, adhere.
