Hi all and happy Friday. I have used a sketch from BLUE FERN STUDIOS for my inspiration.
HOW TO MAKE A MIXED MEDIA BACKGROUND
Take a sheet of plain white cardstock.
Cover it with a layer of white Gesso. Allow to dry.
Stamp over with a music stamp and a script stamp.
Take some modelling paste and masks and apply in various areas. Allow to dry.
Take a green mist and spray. Dry. I used my heat-gun.
Take a blue mist and spray. Dry.
You are now ready to make up your layout.
Cut paper down to 11.5x11.5inches, distress and ink the edges.
Apply acrylic paint to distressed cardboard, dry and place down.
Add matted photo.
Start adding layers as per the sketch.
Paint and ink the Blue Fern Chippy.
Decorate with flowers and embellies.
Add title and a little more ink or paint to fill in any gaps.
